Other Side is a young adult supernatural mystery that I've been working on for a few years now. I've toyed with the idea of making it either a comic or a visual novel game but right now I'm feeling more sure about having it be a novel since I've noticed the YA genre has been sorta taken over by romantasy (which I do have fun with but variety is nice, people aren't always in the mood for romance!)
Simon Blake's family has just moved to Elm Creek into the crumbling family home his mother used to visit as a child. All he wants is to forget his life in Toronto and start a new, simple life. Before he knows it, he finds himself caught in the middle of the disappearance of a girl from town and her friend group that has fallen apart. With police spending more time making public appearances than investigating and her parents seemingly unconcerned, the friends come back together to find a way to bring her home. The more questions they ask, the more they have, and they quickly learn that not everything in town is as it seems. With strange sounds being heard in the woods surrounding the town and a mountain of missing children's posters hidden deep in the town archives, the friends realize the mystery is much larger than they ever imagined.
